Upon walking into the restaurant I was impressed by the cozy feel. Seated quickly we were provided with a menu that was elegant and tickled our taste buds.
Although they don't serve "hard liquor", the wine list was extensive and we chose an Oregon Cabernet Franc.
The wait staff were very friendly and well versed in both the wine list and the menu. We ordered Halibut for Mum and aged rib eye for me accompanied by beets (which mum ate all of), broccolini with almonds and of course shoestring fries.
While enjoying a delicious meal we had a great chat and really started to settle into the New York life.
At the end of our meal, although our lovely waiter tried to convince us we declined dessert and headed off with every intention of coming back (although I have a feeling Mum will simply order a plateful of the beets).
